Alister Jowsey

Alister’s role at Nelligan is as a Mechanical Engineer supporting the team across a range of projects in the fields of passive fire, mechanical design and failure analysis and height safety.

His background is predominantly in Mechanical Engineering design and consultancy. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from the University of Auckland.

Alister began his career at R J Nelligan & Associates back in 2013 as a graduate mechanical engineer where he was introduced to many areas of the engineering consultancy world such as fire engineering, forensic engineering and mechanical design.

Following his first tenure with us, he went on to gain experience in the medical device and biotech industry across many different engineering design roles which spanned operations, product and process design.

Outside of work, Alister's time is primarily consumed by caring for his young family of two children and two dalmatian dogs.
